Eva Sweeney

Eva Sweeney obtained a BSc (hons) in 2008 at the National University of Galway, Ireland, specializing in anatomy. She then obtained a MSc in Regenerative Medicine at the National Centre of Biomedical Engineering Science, Galway where she researched the effect of Th-17 T-cell supernatant on murine renal cortical fibroblasts to better understand the mechanisms of kidney injury. During 2009, Eva worked as a research assistant in the anatomy department, collaborating on several projects with groups in the University of Hong Kong, the BC Cancer agency in Vancouver, and others.

In 2015, Eva completed her PhD to describe the anatomy of the human term myometrium and elucidate any possible structural basis for the clinical dysfunction of older and obese mothers during labor.
