Laura McKelvey

Having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in anatomy from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2004, Dr. McKelvey went on to complete an Master of Science in anatomy from University College Dublin (researching the effects of alcohol in the developing chick cerebellum in a model of fetal alcohol syndrome); a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (from Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin) and a PhD in anatomy and neuroscience from University College Cork (researching the molecular mechanisms underlying the development of the sympathetic nervous system in mice). Since 2005, Dr. McKelvey has worked as a medical anatomy demonstrator (in University College Dublin, University College Cork and Trinity College Dublin) and more recently as lecturer of anatomy in University of Limerick. Dr. McKelvey is thrilled to be at Ross University School of Medicine teaching histology, embryology and gross anatomy.
