Savita Arya

Dr. Arya received her MBBS degree from Mumbai University and completed her internship at Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in India in 1994. After completing three-year Residency in Pathology, she was awarded MD degree in Pathology. She also received DPB from the College of Physicians and Surgeons.

She was a Consultant Pathologist at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation in Guyana, and Victoria Hospital in Castries, St. Lucia. At Tata Memorial Hospital in India, she worked in Hematopathology Department on flow cytometry, cytogenetics and electron microscopy. She also taught Pathology in several U.S. medical schools in the Caribbean.

At Medical University of Americas in St. Kitts and Nevis, she was awarded the outstanding Professor Award in recognition of “Superior Teaching and Commitment to Quality Medical Education”.

In administrative roles, she served as an Assistant Dean of Basic Sciences and Director of Medical education in St. Kitts and St. Lucia respectively. She has been the Chair of Admissions Committee and Faculty Development Committee and has worked as Course Director for Pathology.

She joined Ross University in 2009 as Assistant Professor in Pathology. She teaches Pathology as well as conducts PBL sessions. She is a member of the California Society of Pathologists and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She likes to travel, read and listen to music.
