More than 800 RUSM graduates earned residency positions at hospitals in the United States and Canada in the 2014 match. Members of RUSM’s Class of 2014 will continue their training in more than 40 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces.

Ross University Dean Dr. Joseph Flaherty and former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Richard Carmona issued a statement to the New York Times in response to the Times' call for solutions to address the shortage of physicians, especially primary care physicians, in the United States. In the statement, the writers cite the fact that in 2014 alone, Ross University School of Medicine contributed over 800 new physicians to the healthcare workforce, more than two thirds of whom entered primary care.

Ross University School of Medicine Achieves High Marks on USMLE Step 1

Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) students achieved a 97 percent first-time pass rate on Step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Exam® (USMLE) in 2013, according to the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Once again RUSM’s performance on USMLE Step 1 matched United States and Canadian medical schools.

RUSM Announces New International Clinical Rotations
