Ross University School of Medicine Expands Clinical Rotations in Ohio with Addition of Grant Hospital in Columbus

03/25/08

March 25, 2008 – (Edison, N.J.) – Ross University School of Medicine is pleased to announce it will add Grant Hospital in Columbus to its growing network of core clinical rotation positions in Ohio, which also includes spots at Huron Hospital in Cleveland and Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH.

The addition of Grant Hospital is the latest in a series of new clinical rotation positions Ross University has announced in recent weeks. It follows the school’s addition of 60 new core clinical rotation spots in New York City, which are located at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and Caritas Health Care Planning’s Mary Immaculate and St. John’s Queens hospitals.

With over 5,000 opportunities available at nearly 70 teaching hospitals nationwide, Ross University offers more clinical rotation spots in the United States than any medical school in the world. In 2007, Ross had more than 1,300 students complete over 60,000 clinical weeks.

“We are very excited to increase our presence in a growing and thriving city like Columbus and provide more opportunities for all our students, particularly those from Ohio who will have a chance to do their rotations closer to home,” said Dr. Joseph Chu, dean of clinical sciences at Ross University.
