Edison, N.J. - Ross University, one of the world's largest providers of medical and veterinary education, announced today that it has signed articulation agreements with Rowan University for admission into the Ross University School of Medicine and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. These are the first agreements for Rowan University with an allopathic medical school and a veterinary school.

Under the agreements, Ross University will offer guaranteed admission to graduates of select Rowan programs. A signing ceremony was held today at Rowan University, and was attended by officials from both Rowan and Ross Universities.

Over the years, we have accepted a number of Rowan University students who have been a great fit and have successfully gone on to very rewarding careers. We wanted to formalize that relationship so that students are better able to work toward a future at Ross University," said Dr. Thomas Shepherd, President of Ross University. Rowan's reputation as one of the region's premier universities, coupled with its commitment to providing a collaborative, learning-centered environment is the ideal complement to our mission. We are pleased these agreements enable Rowan to partner with an allopathic medical school and a veterinary school.

Ross University will offer guaranteed admission into its Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programs to Rowan graduates with Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Science degrees. In accordance with the articulation agreements, Rowan graduates must meet and maintain specific requirements in addition to completing one of Rowan's approved programs.
