SABA’s four-year residency placement rate of 97% is calculated as the percent of students attaining a residency position out of all graduates or expected graduates in 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 who were active applicants in the NRMP match or attained a residency outside the NRMP match. As of July 17, 2025, they have not published their 2025 rates. SGU’s US residency placement rate of 94% pertains to graduates over five years from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 with the rate calculated as the total number of students/graduates who obtained a US residency divided by the total number of students/graduates who applied to a US residency program in a given year as of April 2025.

It’s normal to have lots of questions as you get ready to apply to medical school—so we’ve compiled a few answers to the most common ones below.
Submit a completed Ross Med application through the online portal or upload your existing AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, or OMSAS application. You may be asked to provide official transcripts from all colleges attended, at least two letters of recommendation (one must be academic), MCAT scores, a personal statement, and a CV or resume. There is no application fee for Ross Med. You can start your application and return to complete it later, tracking your status through the My Ross Med Community Portal.
As medical school admissions criteria may vary slightly, it is important for applicants to become knowledgeable about each institution’s requirements prior to submitting an application and apply to the programs that best match their credentials.
Applying to multiple schools of medicine may increase your chances of admission, but applying to several schools at once may lead to emotional stress because of the many details and requirements, and financial stress, as other schools charge application fees. Applicants should apply to the number of schools they can comfortably undertake without diminishing the quality of each application.

Yes, you can apply to the same medical school—including RUSM—more than once. But to be considered for acceptance after a previous rejection, your application should demonstrate improvement in test scores, experience, or other areas.
Ross Med requires a bachelor's degree or higher, completion of prerequisite coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and English, official transcripts, MCAT scores (for U.S. applicants), a personal statement, CV or resume, and at least two letters of recommendation. International applicants whose undergraduate education was not in English must submit TOEFL scores (minimum 85) or IELTS scores (minimum 6.5). T.
Yes, Ross Med offers multiple scholarships and grants for incoming students. All accepted applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships with no separate application required.
Ross Med operates on rolling admissions and accepts applications year-round until classes fill. Applying early gives you more time to work with the admissions team and increases your chances before seats fill. You can apply up to a year in advance of your intended semester.
Ross Med recommends submitting your MCAT scores at the time of application. Scores must be available before the admissions committee reviews your file. U.S. citizens, nationals, and permanent residents must submit MCAT scores taken within five years of enrollment. International applicants are not required to submit MCAT scores but are strongly encouraged to do so. The MCAT is required for all U.S. applicants prior to interview.
Ross Med does not have a minimum GPA requirement. The admissions committee evaluates your application holistically using several factors including cumulative undergraduate GPA, prerequisite coursework GPA, MCAT scores, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and interview performance. . There is no fee for submitting the Ross University School of Medicine application.
