Meet Requirements & Prepare Your Application
To be considered for admission to Ross Medical School, you'll need to meet our rigorous academic standards. Here's what you need to know:
- GPA Requirements: At Ross Med, we do not enforce a hard GPA cutoff for applicants. Instead, we review each applicant holistically. The average pre-req GPA is around 3.19* *Data is representative of the Ross Med September 2022, January 2023, and May 2023 cohorts.
- Prerequisites: You'll need to complete specific science and math courses, including biology, chemistry, physics, and biochemistry.
- MCAT Policy: All U.S. applicants* must take the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®)* Ross Med requires MCAT scores submitted by all U.S. Citizens, nationals, or eligible permanent resident applicants prior to the interview.
- Holistic Review Overview: Our admissions committee reviews applications holistically, considering not just academic performance but also extracurricular activities, personal statements, and letters of recommendation.

Submit Your Application
Once you've met the requirements and planned your finances, it's time to submit your application. Here's what you need to know:
- Required Documents: Make sure you have all the necessary documents, including transcripts, MCAT scores, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement.
- Deadlines: Ross Med reviews applications throughout the year, accepting students for our January, May, and September classes.
- How to Apply: Submit your application materials through our application portal For ease of application, you may upload your completed AMCAS™, AACOMAS™, TMDSAS or OMSAS application. There is no fee for submitting the Ross Med application.

MCAT Scores & Test Policy
To qualify for admission, all U.S. applicants* must take the Medical College Admission Test® (MCAT®). While Canadian and international applicants are not required to submit MCAT scores, providing them can strengthen your application and showcase your readiness for the rigors of medical school.
Required Courses & GPA
Admission to Ross Med includes submitting all college level or higher coursework. We evaluate your application using several factors, not just your GPA. Explore our required prerequisite pre-med coursework.
