Here’s Where Your Journey Begins!

Our MD program requires a bachelor’s degree or higher, completion of prerequisite coursework, submission of your MCAT scores, two letters of recommendation, and a personal statement. A full list of requirements can be found here.

At Ross Med, we believe in a holistic admissions process. Your grades and MCAT® scores only tell us part of your story. Your pursuits and interests outside the classroom, and your passion to make a difference help communicate your capability as future medical student.

For the FY 21-22 academic year direct admits to the Ross Med MD program had:

• 3.21 average undergrad GPA
• 3.11 average pre-req GPA
• 495 average MCAT score

Yes, a bachelor’s degree or higher (or international equivalent) is required for admission into Ross Med’s MD program.

Yes, students applying for the MD program are required to submit their MCAT scores as part of their complete application.

Incoming students will arrive on island approximately one week before classes start. During this week, you will participate in orientation where you will meet your fellow students, faculty, and staff, and will get the chance to explore your new island home and get checked in for your classes.

The first two years of our medical sciences curriculum are completed on our campus in Barbados. After that, you will complete two years of clinical rotations at one or more of our affiliate teaching hospitals in the U.S.
