Dr. Rashida Daisley MBBS, MPH, PgDip (Obesity)

Dr. Rashida Daisley joined Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) as an Assistant Professor in February 2023. She is an experienced physician, public health professional, and healthcare leader with a passion for global health, health equity, and knowledge translation... 

Prior to joining RUSM, Dr. Daisley served as the Director of Clinical Services at the Barbados Family Planning Association, where she led strategic initiatives in reproductive health and healthcare service expansion.

Her clinical expertise spans emergency medicine, reproductive health, and obesity management, with a strong background in public health research and policy development. Dr. Daisley has presented at numerous international conferences on topics including obesity, sexual and reproductive health, and chronic disease prevention. She is actively engaged in research on the prevalence of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in Barbados and is a dedicated advocate for women’s health and non-communicable disease prevention.

Dr. Daisley has received several awards, including the Barbados National Humanitarian Award and the World Obesity Federation Scholarship. She continues to contribute to the academic and medical community through mentorship, conference organization, and strategic healthcare initiatives.

Dr. Carlene Radix 
MD, MPH

Dr. Carlene Radix, MD, MPH, is a public health physician, executive leader, and global expert in the Caribbean region with over 20yrs of experience. She completed Medical School at St George’s University in Grenada, a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric at Overlook hospital, Summit NJ 

and an Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health Fellowship and MPH at the Environmental and Occupational Health Science Institute (EOHSI) in Piscataway NJ.

Dr. Radix has held various leadership positions in clinical medicine, academia and public health. She served as a hospital medical director at St. Jude’s Hospital in St. Lucia, and Grenada’s Chief Medical Officer. As the Director of the Human and Social Division at the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, she coordinated a collective strategic direction for the 11 member states, mobilized >30 mil USD of funding and delivered programs for health and social systems in disaster prone islands. She has consulted for regional and international public health agencies and volunteers as a mentor to young health professionals through Multipod Mentoring.

Cordelle Lazare

Dr. Cordelle Lazare MD, MMed, MPH

Dr. Lazare earned his Medical Degree from Nanchang University before pursuing post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tongji Hospital - Tongji Medical College at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His time in China also sparked his interest in research, which he further...

explored at the Key Laboratory of Cancer Invasion and Metastasis. Upon returning to the Caribbean, Dr. Lazare recognized the growing need for physicians with training in public health. This led him to pursue a Master of Public Health at St. George’s University, specializing in Health Policy and Administration.

In recent years, Dr. Lazare has dedicated his career to research, with a particular focus on cervical cancer and sexual and reproductive health. He has collaborated with key stakeholders to influence public health policy, including conducting research on medical perspectives on abortion and abortion laws in his home country of Dominica.

In 2025, Dr. Lazare joined Ross University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the Office of External Affairs. His areas of expertise include gynecologic oncology, health policy, and sexual and reproductive health.
