Barron Helgoe, JD

Assistant Director, Student Conduct and Integrity

Barron Helgoe has served as Assistant Director, Student Conduct and Integrity since the fall semester of 2018. He focuses on encouraging medical student professionalism through support and accountability.  

Mr. Helgoe joined RUSM after serving as Chief of the US State Department funded Afghanistan Justice Sector Support Program, a nationwide Rule of Law training and mentoring program designed to improve justice services for the Afghan people. Prior to his civilian work overseas, Mr. Helgoe practiced as a litigator for several years in state and federal courts with Victor Victor and Helgoe LLP, Charleston, West Virginia. 

He received his Juris Doctorate with honors from Rutgers Law School – Camden where he served on the Rutgers Law Journalbefore visiting the University of Minnesota Law School. Mr. Helgoe graduated cum laudewith a degree in Business Administration and Political Science from Gustavus Adolphus College.
