Ericka Lawson, PhD

Assistant Professor of Biochemistry

Ericka Ann Lawson, PhD, received her Undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Texas Wesleyan College. She then earned a Masters in Research and her doctoral degree from Saint Louis University Medical School. After her formal education she pursued post-doctoral training at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A&M Institute of Biosciences and Technology. She also holds a Business certificate in Educational Entrepreneurship from Rice University. Her teaching experiences are varied, she has taught all education levels from 8th grade to post-graduate. She is certified for teaching from grade 4 to 12. She also has been certified as a Master Teacher for Medicine. She has also directed the Physiology training program at Baylor college of Medicine. Dr. Lawson has a primary academic interest in student learning modalities as well as student success. Her non-academic interests include hiking, biking, gardening, sewing and reading.
