Jonathan Triplett has worked in higher education and student affairs for 17 years and comes from a well-established background in education, diversity, and co-curricular programming with diverse student bodies. He was the first in his family to receive a full athletic scholarship and graduate from college. Jonathan played collegiate basketball and following his college career he played professionally overseas for seven years. After retiring from the game of basketball, he returned to Oklahoma City University where he earned both his Bachelors of Arts in Exercise Science in 2002 and a Masters in Education two years later.
Jonathan has served in a variety of student affairs roles at Oklahoma City University, University of Tulsa, and most recently as Director of Residence Life at the University of Guam. While at the University of Guam he opened a cafeteria and implemented the first ever meal plan in the history of the University, started a bike share program, and opened a convenience store in one of the residence halls. He has successfully developed and implemented Wellness Programs, Outdoor Adventure Programs, Club Sports Programs, and most importantly campus Alcohol Awareness Programs. Jonathan’s main focus is student-success centered activities and helping to bridge the gap between student life and academics.
