Shannon Evans, LCSW

Director of Counseling

Dr. Shannon Evans has been providing counseling services to University students since 2014.  Shannon conceptualizes individual counseling within the context of social systems and understands her role not only as a counselor, but as an advocate, ally, and activist.  She believes that relationships are essential to finding solutions to challenges people face.  Shannon strives to create an engaging, supportive environment where students can explore, identify, and confront the things that are adversely affecting them.  Understanding counseling as a collaborative experience, Shannon co-creates individualized interventions with students, grounded in the strengths they possess.
