THE RUSM COUNSELING CENTER
Welcome to Ross University School of Medicine’s Counseling Center webpage. The RUSM Counseling Center is located in the Villages at Coverley on the Barbados campus. We are dedicated to the health and well-being of the Ross community. Our services are free, strictly confidential and offered to Semester 1-5 students. We are available to address personal, academic and/or mental health concerns.

Students can schedule an appointment via the patient portal, found on the Counseling Center's main portal page accessible through myportal.rossu.edu.
Please call the on call counselor at 246-245-1622 24 hours, 7 days a week for any mental health emergencies during orientation periods and academic semesters.
On call counseling services via the RUSM Counseling Center will not be available during semester break.
Students may call ASPIRE at 800-932-0034 for assistance during semester break.

Our office is located in the Villages at Coverley in the building were housing check in was conducted. A private entrance is around the back of the building.
Staff Members & Confidentiality
Our staff members are experienced in serving the specific needs of medical students from diverse backgrounds. We work together in a multidisciplinary approach and function as an independent clinical entity, distinct from the RUSM academic program. Counseling staff members have no involvement in the academic assessment or promotion of students, and our records are not part of any academic file. Information is not shared with faculty or administrators unless the student/client authorizes a specific written release of information.
