daily covid-19 self-assessment in barbados

Preserving the health, safety and well-being of our campus and the Barbados community continues to be our top priority.

To maintain ongoing wellness, all colleagues, students and community members entering our Barbados campus will need to complete a daily health screening survey. To streamline the entry process, the health screening survey is now available using the Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) Safe App*.

The Daily COVID-19 Self-Assessment consists of a few questions to measure your level of risk and exposure. Please answer these questions to the best of your ability.

Safe App Download Instructions

We strongly encourage all students and colleagues to download the RUSM Safe App to complete the Daily COVID-19 Self-Assessment, so it is ready to go before your first day on campus. The app is available to download on Google Play and App Store.* The survey should take less than five minutes to complete.

* If you are unable to download the app, a manual survey will be available at the main entry point on campus and RUSM safety and security officers will assist you with downloading the app on your device.

Complete the Survey

To complete the COVID-19 Self-Assessment on the RUSM Safe App:

  1. Open the RUSM Safe App and begin the COVID-19 Self-Assessment.

  2. Enter your email, name, and D#.

  3. Answer the questions regarding symptoms and temperature screening.

  4. Confirm your answers and press “Continue.”

  5. A screen will appear that indicates whether you are approved or denied for campus entry. Take a screenshot of the final COVID-19 screening page and save it to your photos to present to security upon entry to campus.

  6. You will be required to show the final screen with the QR code to the safety and security officer when entering the campus. Your temperature will be taken via temporal thermometer before you are granted access.

If you have downloaded the app already, you may have to update it before the COVID-19 Self-Assessment can be accessed.

Daily Checks

The COVID-19 Self-Assessment must be completed every day.

If you use the app, you will receive a reminder to complete the survey through a push notification. The RUSM safety and security department will check your survey date when you enter the campus to ensure that it is up to date.

If you have any questions, contact RUSM safety and security at 246.627.8001 (LESC) or 246.627.8011 (Coverley Village). Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping our community safe.
