Priya Dattathreya

Dr. Dattathreya has been a faculty member in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) since 2013. She is the director of the ELLS 1 (Essential Lifelong Learning Skills) Course and provides academic support medical students and helps them develop their cognitive and metacognitive skills.

She received her MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from Father Mullers’ Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), India in 2007. She received her MD (Anatomy) in 2011 from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal Univeristy, India and was honored as an outstanding student from the Department of Anatomy.

She worked briefly in the Department of Anatomy at Ross University School of Medicine as an Anatomy Laboratory Demonstrator before transitioning into an academic coach and Assistant Professor in CTL.

She has a keen interest in medical education and is currently persuing a Masters Degree in Medical Education from University of Dundee.
