During his last two years on faculty at RUSM, he concurrently attended RUSM as a medical student. Upon graduation, Dr. King obtained a categorical residency at the Medical College of Georgia and went on to serve as chief surgery resident in 2014-2015. Following residency, he completed his fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. King is currently in private practice in Augusta, GA.

 

In 2020, 91% of RUSM students passed the initial step of the United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) on the first attempt. And in 2022-2023, results show yet another strong year for RUSM with a 98% first-time residency attainment rate* thus far.
