As a Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) student, you will spend one third of your time in Barbados. Students start their first session in a dedicated student area known as The Villages of Coverley. After semester one, students can stay in the Ross University School of Medicine Housing community or select an offsite place to stay on the island.

Already have roommates in mind? No problem — simply put in a request with our student services team for your desired roommates and fill out a few required forms. Otherwise, we’re happy to assign you a same-gender roommate.*
*Ross University School of Medicine housing only assigns same-gender roommates. If you and someone of another gender select each other as roommates, you may be placed in a 3- or 4-bedroom unit as space permits. This living arrangement may only be maintained if all agreed parties remain enrolled and on-campus.

The Villages offers 2 convenient options for Ross School of Medicine students who wish to live with a partner, child or other dependent:
Ross University On-Campus Family housing:
- Specially discounted 3BR family units (limited quantity, subject to availability)
- Maximum occupancy: 2 adults, 5 people total
- If confirmed, you will be guaranteed a family unit for the length of your enrollment (continued documentation of companion/dependent required)
General student housing:
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 bedroom (with private bath) in a traditional student unit
- Consent of all roommates is required beforehand
Single student pricing (per semester; prices in USD)*
- Tier 1: Bedroom and private bath in 3BR unit = $4,840
- Tier 2: Bedroom and private bath in 4BR unit = $4,640
- Tier 3: Bedroom and shared bath in 3BR unit = $4,240
- Tier 4: Bedroom and shared bath in 4BR unit = $4,040
Family pricing (per semester, in USD)*
- 3BR unit with private bath = $7,500
- NEW: $840 utilities credit per semester!
Rent includes property management, exterior and interior maintenance, personal property insurance, deep cleaning between each semester, Wi-Fi, trash pickup, monthly utility allotment (water, electric, and sewer), parking and gym membership.
*Non-student companions approved to share a bedroom in a general student unit pay a
$500 per semester amenities and administration fee.
- Pets allowed with special pet housing applications
- Dogs or cats under 40 pounds permitted with approval
- One pet per student (maximum 2 per unit)
- Fish are welcome (5-gallon tank maximum)









LIVE OFF-CAMPUS
Most Ross University School of Medicine housing students live at the Villages at Coverley, but we understand if you would rather live elsewhere. After the first semester, students have the option of finding alternative housing off-campus.
