Ross University School of Medicine alumni, faculty, colleagues and students attended the conference among over 5,000* attendees, including 1,800 medical students and 1,200 residents. The event provided a forum for students and residents to learn more about family medicine, explore residency programs, connect with potential employers, and network with key industry players. Various workshops and sessions were offered, including procedural skills courses, how to apply to residency, and the process of successfully transitioning into practice from residency. Additionally, Ross University School of Medicine held a well-attended evening alumni mixer.
“The students that attended this conference and gained valuable insights on how to succeed in clerkships and residency,” said Dr. Enrique Fernandez, chair of family medicine. “Equally as important to the knowledge our students learned at the conference was the direct exposure they had to a group of Ross alumni who specialize in family medicine. Our alumni offered students guidance on how to navigate fourth year electives, optimize their CV and applications for ideal match placement and shared stories from their path to success as practicing physicians.”
Throughout their Ross University School of Medicine experience, students can take advantage of more direct alumni contact through Ross University School of Medicine alumni mentoring programs, conferences and events.
