As of July 17, 2025, they have not published their 2025 rates. SGU’s US residency placement rate of 94% pertains to graduates over five years from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 with the rate calculated as the total number of students/graduates who obtained a US residency divided by the total number of students/graduates who applied to a US residency program in a given year as of April 2025.
Erine Raybon-Rojas, MD
Biography
Dr. Erine Raybon-Rojas, a 2008 graduate of Ross University School of Medicine, has consistently exemplified the potential of medical professionals, with a distinguished career spanning patient care, graduate medical education, and community outreach. After completing her internal medicine residency and pulmonary/critical care fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University in 2012 and 2015, respectively, she joined the faculty in pulmonary and critical care before transitioning to a tertiary care center in Georgia.
Dr. Raybon-Rojas has held numerous leadership roles within her healthcare system, including serving as the Director for the Medical Intensive Care Unit Curriculum in Graduate Medical Education, where she oversees the education of physician residents from various specialties. She has also served as Chair of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team since 2019, where she developed a multidisciplinary approach to treating patients with acute pulmonary embolism and its sequelae. As principal investigator for the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team Consortium Registry, she has contributed to the advancement of clinical knowledge and patient outcomes in this area.
At the forefront of healthcare during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, Dr. Raybon-Rojas played a pivotal role in expanding medical intensive care services across the health system, mobilizing multiple ICUs, restructuring hospital units, and leading critical staffing efforts to ensure optimal patient care. Throughout this time, she maintained her commitment to medical education, contributing to research and presenting at prestigious conferences such as the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and American College of Physicians – Georgia chapter.
A passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Dr. Raybon-Rojas pioneered the Provider Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce at her healthcare system. This groundbreaking initiative continues to ensure that employees, patients, and families from all backgrounds feel heard, respected, and cared for across all levels of the healthcare system. Her leadership in DEI has been showcased at national conferences and has garnered educational grants to support further research and initiatives, including mentorship programs that empower underrepresented youth to pursue careers in healthcare.
As Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Raybon-Rojas continues to shape the next generation of physicians, focusing on both patient care and graduate medical education. Her work as Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Graduate Medical Education to further demonstrates her commitment to fostering an inclusive, dynamic environment for all learners and healthcare professionals.
