Sherriann Reid, RDCS
Biography
Sherri Reid began her career in healthcare in 1994 as a cardiac sonographer. She served in this role at various healthcare institutions for 20 years. During that time, she occasionally worked in other areas of ultrasound as needed, managed a cardiac ultrasound lab at a private practice, worked in hospitals big and small, and always tended to her patients. In December of 2014, she and her husband, Dr. Sean Reid, relocated to Dominica to join Ross University School of Medicine.
Since joining Ross University, she has served as a standardized patient, a standardized patient trainer, and the Simulation Coordinator of the Ross University Simulation Institute (RUSMSI). RUSMSI is the first such accredited simulation center in the Caribbean. She was promoted to the Anatomy Laboratory Coordinator in January of 2023 where she manages the day-to-day running of the Anatomy Lab and its activities while also teaching ultrasound to students. In her spare time, she volunteers to run ultrasound workshops each semester for various student groups interested in the modality.
