To celebrate American Heart Month, we chatted with Dr. William Pinsky, a Pediatric Cardiologist and President and Chief Executive Officer of the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and Board Chair of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), ECFMG’s nonprofit foundation, about his journey to becoming a Pediatric Cardiologist and the new medical advances in early detection of heart defects in children.

In 2020, 91% of RUSM students passed the initial step of the United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) on the first attempt. And in 2021-2022, results show yet another strong year for RUSM with a 96% first-time residency attainment rate* thus far.
