Certificate Requirements

Through your coursework at Ross Med, you will complete the requirements needed to obtain your Community Medicine Global Health certificate. These include:

Community Medicine Program Classroom Content (43 hours) 3 credits

Community Medicine Experiences 10 experiences (40 hours) 2 credits

Students attend screening and pop-up clinics curated in collaboration with community partners for underserved populations and submit reflective pieces on their experience.

Community Medicine Assignments (65 hours) 6.5 credits

  • CITI certification- 5 hours,
  • Critical Appraisal of a Study (5 hours),
  • Development of a research question (5 hours),
  • Development of a Health Promotion Idea (10 hours),
  • Community based Promotion Intervention idea,
  • Final Research Proposal/Health Intervention Proposal/Case Report) (40 hours).
