Biography

Dr. Andres Restrepo joined Ross University School of Medicine in 2025 as Associate Professor of Pathology. He brings over two decades of clinical and academic experience in anatomical pathology, dermatopathology, and forensic pathology. He is a graduate of Universidad Libre and Universidad del Valle in Colombia. He previously worked as a Locum consultant Pathologist at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (Bermuda) and Horacio Oduber Hospital (Aruba), and served as Pathologist at Christus Health Pathology Laboratory in Colombia. Dr. Restrepo has held long-standing faculty positions at multiple Colombian medical schools, including Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali. In 2024, he was recognized among The Pathologist magazine’s “Top 20 Champions for Change” worldwide for his contributions to pathology education.
