Herman Reid, DVM, MSc, MD

Biography
Dr. Reid has been involved in higher education for decades. His focus has been mainly in the areas of undergraduate and graduate supervisory and teaching activities in agriculture, public health, and the basic and applied health and medical sciences. Specifically, he has been a medical educator at the University of Guyana (UG) (CAAM-HP accredited), Saba University School of Medicine, the University of Central Florida and the Mohawk College -McMaster University Institute of Applied Health Sciences. Immediately prior to joining RUSM in 2022, he was a Professor of Pathology at the Texila American University in Guyana (CAAM-HP Accredited).
His previous academically-related appointments include: Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at UG, Dean of Students at Saba University, Director-PAHO/ WHO Center for the Training of Allied Health personnel-UG, and Coordinator / Job Developer for the Settlement and Integration Services Organization (SISO) / Association of Internationally Trained Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (AIPSO).
