Robert Nasiiro

Professor of Clinical Medicine

Dr. Robert Nasiiro was trained at the Welsh National School of Medicine in Wales. In 1976, he received the LRCP, MRCS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, U.K. In 1983, he obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H) from the University of Liverpool and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology (DRCOG) from the Royal College of Obs. and Gyn. U.K. In 1992, Dr. Nasiiro, went on to obtain a masters degree (MPH) from Leeds University, majoring in care of the elderly, with the thesis “Community Care of the Elderly in Dominica“. Dr. Nasiiro continues to maintain his medical knowledge by attending numerous postgraduate courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. Dr. Nasiiro has worked as a general practitioner in the U.K., Uganda, Kenya and Dominica. Before joining Ross University full time in 2001, Dr. Nasiiro served as the Chief Medical Officer of Dominica and the chairman of the Dominica Medical Board.
