Full Membership Distinction
Full Membership recognizes students who have demonstrated superior academic achievement, professional excellence, and leadership.
Recognition: Full Members are honored at RUSM Clinical Honors Night and Commencement, celebrating both their academic achievement and professional distinction.
Eligibility
Eligible students must:
- Pass the USMLE Step 1 on the first attempt
- Successfully complete all core clerkship rotations
- Pass all six NBME Subject Clerkship Exams on the first attempt
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
- Be in good standing with the University, including the Office of Student Conduct
- Demonstrate significant leadership and service contributions, supported by a recommendation
Emerging Scholars – Medical Sciences Distinction
Rho Mu Delta recognizes rising stars early in their medical journey through the Emerging Scholars distinction, awarded to students who excel in the Medical Sciences curriculum.
Recognition: Emerging Scholars are celebrated at RUSM Honors Night in their 5th semester, acknowledging both academic promise and leadership potential.
Eligibility
Eligibility includes:
- Successful completion of the 4th semester Medical Sciences curriculum
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher
- Be in good standing with the University
- Demonstrate leadership and service involvement, supported by a recommendation
How to Apply
Rho Mu Delta Application Information
Rho Mu Delta accepts applications during designated periods announced each academic year.
Eligible students are invited to submit:
- An online application, and
- A Letter of Recommendation (LOR) from an RUSM faculty or staff member, or from a clinical faculty/preceptor they have worked with during their time at RUSM.
The LOR should emphasize the applicant’s accomplishments, leadership, professionalism, and contributions to the RUSM community, the medical profession, or society as a whole.
