Carlene Radix, MD, MPH

Biography
Dr. Carlene Radix, MD, MPH, is a public health physician, executive leader, and global expert in the Caribbean region with over 20yrs of experience. She completed Medical School at St George’s University in Grenada, a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatric at Overlook hospital, Summit NJ and an Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health Fellowship and MPH at the Environmental and Occupational Health Science Institute (EOHSI) in Piscataway NJ.
Dr. Radix has held various leadership positions in clinical medicine, academia and public health. She served as a hospital medical director at St. Jude’s Hospital in St. Lucia, and Grenada’s Chief Medical Officer. As the Director of the Human and Social Division at the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, she coordinated a collective strategic direction for the 11 member states, mobilized >30 mil USD of funding and delivered programs for health and social systems in disaster prone islands. She has consulted for regional and international public health agencies and volunteers as a mentor to young health professionals through Multipod Mentoring.
