Rashida Olivia Daisley, BMedSci, MBBS, MPH, PGDip
Biography
Dr. Rashida Daisley joined Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) as an Assistant Professor in February 2023. She is an experienced physician, public health professional, and healthcare leader with a passion for global health, health equity, and knowledge translation. Prior to joining RUSM, Dr. Daisley served as the Director of Clinical Services at the Barbados Family Planning Association, where she led strategic initiatives in reproductive health and healthcare service expansion.
Her clinical expertise spans emergency medicine, reproductive health, and obesity management, with a strong background in public health research and policy development. Dr. Daisley has presented at numerous international conferences on topics including obesity, sexual and reproductive health, and chronic disease prevention. She is actively engaged in research on the prevalence of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in Barbados and is a dedicated advocate for women’s health and non-communicable disease prevention.
Dr. Daisley has received several prestigious awards, including the Barbados National Humanitarian Award and the World Obesity Federation Scholarship. She continues to contribute to the academic and medical community through mentorship, conference organization, and strategic healthcare initiatives.
