SABA’s four-year residency placement rate of 97% is calculated as the percent of students attaining a residency position out of all graduates or expected graduates in 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 who were active applicants in the NRMP match or attained a residency outside the NRMP match. As of July 17, 2025, they have not published their 2025 rates. SGU’s US residency placement rate of 94% pertains to graduates over five years from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 with the rate calculated as the total number of students/graduates who obtained a US residency divided by the total number of students/graduates who applied to a US residency program in a given year as of April 2025.
Sabrina Belle, MBBS, MSc, BSc
Biography
Dr. Sabrina Belle is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy at Ross University School of Medicine, where she delivers interactive lectures and laboratory demonstrations in gross anatomy, embryology, and neuroanatomy. With a strong commitment to medical education, she has been instrumental in curriculum development, student mentorship, and academic support initiatives.
Dr. Belle holds a Master of Science in Anatomical Sciences Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of the West Indies. She has also completed specialized training in medical education, including Certification 305 in Teaching and Learning in Medical Education.
Prior to her academic career, Dr. Belle worked as a physician in both emergency and primary care settings. She served as a Senior House Officer at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, delivering urgent medical care and supervising medical trainees. Additionally, she has experience as a General Practitioner, managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
An active contributor to medical education and professional development, Dr. Belle has presented at international conferences and facilitated workshops on topics such as antiracism in medical education and technology-enhanced learning. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Anatomy, the Association for Medical Education in Europe, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
Dr. Belle remains dedicated to advancing medical education, fostering student success, and integrating innovative teaching methodologies in anatomy and clinical sciences.
