Leiann Roett-Baird, BMSc, MBBS

Biography
Dr. Leiann Roett-Baird is a MD and Assistant Professor at Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM), where she has served in the Academy of Teaching and Learning since 2021. With a strong foundation in General Medicine and a deep interest in Rheumatology and Family Medicine, she brings over eight years of experience in medical education—including previous teaching roles in Clinical Skills, Pharmacology, and Pathophysiology at St. Georges University.
At the heart of her work is a deep commitment to helping students overcome academic hurdles through tailored learning strategies and evidence-informed remediation. She serves as Course Director for multiple remediation and pre-intervention programs, with a focus on supporting students during pivotal transitions, such as the shift into medical school or the adjustment to new cultural and academic environments. Dr. Roett-Baird’s approach integrates skill-building, mindset development, and personal growth to help students unlock their full potential.
In addition to her academic responsibilities, she remains actively engaged in clinical medicine, health promotion, and community service. As Team Lead for the Health and Safety Department of a charitable organization, she provides medical consultation, supports chronic illness screening at live events, and contributes to ongoing public health efforts. Her passion for patient-centered care, chronic disease awareness, and the art of communication continues to shape both her teaching and her outreach.
